Jeff Rowe is a singer/songwriter from Allston, MA and trekked all the way down to Durham, NC for the first and third days of Death To False Hope Fest 2011. His background as former frontman for dear departed Boston punk band Boxingwater colors his more subdued solo work today. His worn-down tales of being overeducated and underpaid is immediately identifiable with crowds from most anywhere. He had the distinct honor of being one of the first acts onstage, in which he sang, told anecdotes, and shared vocals with a profoundly drunk Mattramone in a rousing cover of Tom Petty's "American Girl."
